For many that have anticipated standing up in front of a crowd to talk or sing or present or play or act, the very thought of it creates sweaty palms, dry mouth, upset tummy, jiggly knees, ear-ringing, and instant hot flushes.
I kinda like Joe Kowan…his courage, candidness and cowering in this talk…I like how he chooses to laugh with himself (which is very different than at himself)…and how he invites his audience to laugh with him…because they understand him…and he understands them.
There’s nothing like being in front of an audience that gives a person that “opportunity to make a fool of yourself on a silver platter” sort of feeling. Joe uses his creativity to make his fear work for him…and endear him to the audience. We understand his vulnerability, and respect him for it.
Take a few minutes and enjoy Joe?
