More Great Therapists!

Therapy isn’t easy to attend. It is important for therapists to know how much courage it takes to attend therapy, and to honour that courage with providing the best therapy they are able to provide.

At Bergen and Associates Counselling, I’m incredibly proud of our team of therapists. They do an amazing job. We care about people. We are always learning. We work hard to become good at our craft. We get energized when we see our clients taking risks and trying on new behaviors, and new ways of thinking and feeling. And now, we add to the team:

Sarah Murray joins us starting next week. She was schooled in Guelph Ontario, and came to us via Saskatoon where she worked as a family therapist in a mental health program in a hospital. She’ll be working with us half time this next year, while the other half of her life will be writing her thesis for her PhD. She has a special interest in working with people around the topics of sexuality and intimacy.

Sarah is warm and friendly. She’s super capable, and interested, and interesting. The folks who have worked with her literally cannot say enough good about her. We’re thrilled that she is joining us…and will be with us on Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays.

Sara Murrey is a therapist beginning with Bergen and Associates Counselling in August 2013

Shanna Kelly is also starting with us later this month. Shanna is still on the learning track of counselling, and will be at Bergen and Associates Counselling for the school year. She is being supervised by myself, Carolyn Bergen, to guide her learning and enhance the therapy with clients. Shanna comes to us with a variety of experiences working with people in various settings as they move their lives forward. She comes highly regarded with quite the reputation of, “If I’m not familiar with it, I’ll look it up and find out!”. She asks great questions, and she is on top of her game. Her services are available on Friday mornings and Sundays…and she sees clients at the reduced rate of $40.00.
